GARIGLIO - DADOS BIOGRÁFICOS

Baptista Gariglio Filho nasceu em 1961 na cidade de Belo Horizonte - Brasil, onde mora. Engenheiro eletricista,  seu aprendizado artístico começou nos anos oitenta, quando recebeu de seu tio Alberto Braga e do mestre Edgar Walter os ensinamentos da pintura a óleo de paisagem. Na década de noventa ele assiste a diversos cursos de desenho de professores da Escola de Arte Guignard (em Belo Horizonte) e em Festivais de Inverno da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais
Ganhador de vários prêmios, tais como a medalha Renoir do Salão de Belas Artes de Niterói em 2012; a medalha de bronze no Salão Internacional de Portugal em 2012; o Prêmio Sandro Botticelli em 2015 – Florença, Itália; a medalha de ouro na exposição “Art to the World” em 2016 –  Portugal, o Prêmio Galileo Galileu em 2017 – Pisa, Itália, o Prêmio Leonardo Da Vinci em 2018 - Florença, Itália  e a medalha de ouro na Mostra Internacional Arts & Artists In The World de 2019 em Roma, entre outros; Gariglio é um frequente participante de mostras e exposições coletivas no Brasil e em outros países como França, Portugal, Espanha, Inglaterra, Estados Unidos e Itália. Teve, também,  seus quadros reproduzidos no livro português "International Arts and Artists" nas edições de 2017 e 2018, no livro americano "Important World Artists - Vol. 1", com a foto de um dos quadros estampada na capa, e na revista italiana "Effetto Arte".
Mas, o reconhecimento de sua arte veio com as exposições individuais:  “Minas Aquarelas Gerais” (1995), “Minas Óleos Gerais” (1997) e “Cenários da Estrada Real” (2007).
Utilizando as técnicas da pintura de paisagem com ênfase no jogo de luz e sombra e procurando representar a profundidade por meio da perspectiva aérea, ele sempre busca mostrar nos seus trabalhos sentimentos e emoções relacionados à necessidade da preservação ambiental e do legado iconográfico e histórico de Minas Gerais - Brasil, seu Estado natal e onde vive.
Em Belo Horizonte, Gariglio é representado pelas galerias Firenze, Vitor Braga – Rugendas, Aguinaldo Art Gallery e Beatriz Abi-Acl .


GARIGLIO - BIOGRAPHIC INFORMATION 

Baptista Gariglio Filho was born in 1961 in Belo Horizonte City - Brazil, where he lives. Electric Engineer, his artistic learning started in the eighties, when he received of his uncle Alberto Braga and of Edgar Walter the teachings of oil landscape painting. In nineties he took several drawing courses with teachers of Guignard School of Arts (in Belo Horizonte) and in the Winter Festival of Arts, at São João Del Rei City - Minas Gerais State.
Winner of several rewards, as the "Renoir Fine Arts Saloon" in Niteroi City in 2012; "The Brass Medal in International Saloon" of Portugal in 2012; the "Sandro Botticelli Prize" in 2015 - Florence, Italy; the Gold Medal in the "Art to the World Show" in 2016 - Portugal; the "Galileo Galilei Prize" in 2017 - Pisa, Italy; the "Leonardo da Vinci Prize" in 2018 - Florence, Italy and the Gold Medal in "International Show Arts & Artists in The World" in 2019 - Roma, among others; Gariglio is a frequent participant of collective shows and saloons in Brazil and others countries, as France, Portugal, Spain, England, United States, Germany and Italy. He had, also, his paintings reproduced at the Portuguese book "International Arts and Artists" 2014 and 2018 editions, at the American artbook "Important World Artists - Vol. 1" - with a artwork of him reproduced in the cover - and in the Italian magazine "Effetto Arte".
But, the recognition of him came with individuals shows "Minas Watercolours Gerais" (1995), "Minas Oils Gerais" (1997) e "Real Road Scenarios" (2007).
In his painting, essentially landscape, the game of light and shadow dominates, using an aerial perspective, giving them depth and realism. His work is a constant manifestation of his sensibility and emotions related to the necessity environmental preservation and the iconographic and historical legacy of Minas Gerais, his birthplace; at the same time he sends us an alert to the environmental preservation so urgent nowadays in the world.
